Pinger is a new service that works like Twitter but instead of text it uses voice mail. For me, voice requires more focus than text, as odd as that may seem. I can’t do anything else when I’m doing audio or video stuff. However, I can see the appeal of something like this for the commute, during exercise or generally on the go. Audio is ideally suited for those activities and is a big reason I subscribe to podcasts.

Pinger is amazing, I’m a much bigger fan of voice over text so between pinger and youmail my whole system has gone to voice. Pinger covers my would-be texts and youmail covers my voicemail and everything else. Everyone who likes pinger should check up youmail at http://www.youmail.com
